Why Choose Laser?

Can I just have 1 session of Laser hair Removal?
For optimum results we generally recommend multiple sessions, this is always something you can discuss with our staff if you’re unsure.
Will my hair grow back?
Over time your hair follicles will become damaged and when that happens the follicles will not grow back, it is likely you may need multiple sessions to achieve this.
Is laser hair removal safe?
Laser hair removal does carry risks, however, when carried out by a professional skin consultant these risks are greatly diminished.
What are the possible risks of laser hair removal?
Generally laser hair removal can cause temporary irritation, slight redness or swelling at the treated area.
Who is laser for?
At Sukh Beauty Skin Clinic because of the Athelia machine we use we are able to do laser treatments on both light haired and dark haired individuals. Laser hair removal may be more effective on some types of hair/skin types than others and we can discuss this with you during your consultation.

Before or After Care

Before Treatment

All new Laser customers at Sukh Beauty Skin Clinic will need to get a consultation.

If you have been shaving allow the hair to grow a couple of days so we can see what we will be treating. If you have been waxing, you will need to wait 4-6 weeks until the hair has regrown. The evening before your Laser appointment shaving the desired area is recommended.

Do not sunbake, sunbed, spray tan or fake tan for 2 weeks prior to your treatment as tanning of any sort can lead to superficial burning.

Avoid perfumes or any alcohol based treatments on the area to be treated and inform our staff if you are on any form of acne medication or topical vitamin A. If it’s your first time it’s best to leave a small area so we can see the hair growth and colour. For those with blonde/grey/red hair, we need to wax you first. So come in only when your hair is long enough for us to wax.

Before Treatment

No sun tanning or sun beds for 2 weeks after your treatment. Sun tanning can result in irregular pigmentation occurring in the treated areas.

Apply topical after Gel on the areas to reduce any irritation. We highly recommend a product we sell in store to stop infection. Apply sunscreen as per your normal routine, this should be  at least SPF 30+ (ideally 50+).
